When humans are lying on their deathbeds, this is the only question that is important to them – Did I know how to love and be loved? Once basic needs are met, the greatest need is relationships. So, why do we keep striving to do everything else instead of spending time with friends, family, and our partner?
A couples’ therapist friend of mine said that the hardest thing in his practice was to get his clients to spend 2 minutes a week listening to what their partner had to say. They usually didn’t have time to do their homework!
Other friends have told me that their relatives from Palestine and Hungary who were hoping to come live in the US went back home where they didn’t have the opportunities and stuff that Americans have because they couldn’t handle the stress of loneliness inherent in the American lifestyle.

Do it even if you don’t want to. You’ll never regret expressing too much love, but you will if you express too little.
